Influenza: what is your risk?

Thanks for your interest in influenza and assessing your risk.

Questions 1-3 relate to your risk of catching influenza.

Questions 4-10 relate to your risk of serious consequences from influenza infection.

Please complete all questions and press ‘submit’ in order to receive some information on your risk.

1. Do you work with or spend time with young infants or school-aged children?
   
2. Are you regularly in crowded environments (e.g. on public transport, busy shopping centres, etc)?
   
3. Do you work in or regularly visit a healthcare facility?
   
4. Are you aged 65 years or over?
   
5. Do you have one or more of the following underlying medical conditions:
  • Heart disease
  • Chronic lung disease (incl. severe asthma)
  • Diabetes
  • Chronic kidney failure
  • Neuromuscular disorders
  • People who have weakened immune defences

   
6. Are you pregnant (or could you be during the next influenza season)?
   
7. Are you of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent and aged 15 years or over?
   
8. Are you a resident of a nursing home or other long-term facility?
   
9. Are you homeless or provide care to homeless people?
   
10. Do you have close contact with anyone listed in the groups above (e.g. live in the same residence or work closely together)?
